10 Amazing Video Game Rewards Stupidly Locked Behind 100% Completion

2. UFO - Grand Theft Auto V

Rockstar has the tendency to include a lot of supernatural easter eggs in their games. They're usually supposed to be really hard to find, but this one secret in Grand Theft Auto V takes the difficulty level to the extreme, which, in consequence, diminishes the payoff of discovering it.

The easter egg is a reward for completing the game completely. This entails completing all of the main missions, having strange encounters, and discovering approximately 150 collectibles scattered throughout the map. Once the player does this, they can go to specially marked locations and have a real (well, in-game real) encounter of the third kind.

The easter egg by itself is really interesting, as the UFOs emit force fields that can push the player off them and are generally pretty eerie-looking. However, given that you have to spend hours looking for letter fragments and submarine parts just to have a chance to see them, a floating piece of metal may not seem like an adequate reward after all.

The spaceships would've worked so much better if they were just a random easter egg in the game. That way, the pain of getting 100% on your save file wouldn't take away from their fascinating appearance.
