6. Phoenix Wright
Phoenix Wright isn't just a sharp dresser; he's also the best lawyer gaming has ever seen. Phoenix Wright is a visual novel of sorts (the player's main input is to choose where to go and who to talk to) but it's also a puzzle game too; carefully checking evidence and presenting it at the right time is the only way to advance the game. It's in the courtroom where the series really shines though. Trials see Phoenix pitted against the prosecution and their witnesses; using evidence to dispute the lies in their testimonies is the only way for Phoenix to prove his client's innocence. It might not sound like an exciting, action-packed scenario but it gets amazingly tense when your back is up against the wall with no lives left; use the wrong evidence at this vital time and it's game over. With a cast of crazy characters and hilarious dialogue, the Phoenix Wright series is well worth playing on whatever platform you can find it. However, like many puzzle games, it's near impossible to fully enjoy a second playthrough. When you know the solution to every single puzzle, what's the point? The fun of Phoenix Wright is the stress you're put under when you're struggling to come up with the answers you need - with that tension gone, the game simply isn't the same.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
