To be fair, the Sniper Rifle is easily the most challenging weapon to master short of just going in with a knife, because it requires an extreme level of patience and concentration which, let's be honest, most Call of Duty players probably don't have, and more to the point, it's not really something the pace of the game encourages. I've tried being a Sniper before but it quickly becomes infuriating as you're taken down time and time again by a machine gunner who sneaks up on you, or worse yet, a better-skilled sniper hiding out across the map. Getting shot by a sniper is incredibly annoying, that's for sure. Though I take my hat off to anyone who can get a decent Kill/Death Ratio without resorting to quick-scoping, the distant, un-confrontational nature of getting killed by a sniper makes many players' blood boil, all the more so because it can be difficult to get to a vantage point to stop their sniping spree.
