10 Awesome Facts We Just Learned About Upcoming Games

4. Rage 2 Has Old-School Cheat Codes

As incredible as the technological leaps and bounds of gaming have undeniably been over the last decade-plus, it has also been at the expense of one hugely popular mainstay: cheat codes.

The pervasiveness of achievements and micro-transactions have largely stamped out the utility of cheat codes in most AAA video games, but Bethesda's upcoming Rage 2 seeks to return to those halcyon days with some baked-in cheat functionality.

Some of the known cheats include the ability to electrocute enemies who get too close ("Son of Thor"), to kill every enemy with one hit ("Git Gud"), to spawn an annoying AI companion ("Klegg Support"), and, best of all, have Danny Dyer narrate your entire game ("Diamond Geezer").

All of the cheats will reportedly be unlockable within the game without needing to pay real money for them (phew), and more will be added over time. Fingers crossed for God Mode and Infinite Ammo ASAP, then.

But in an age where the cheat code is all-but-dead, this curated compromise should help Rage 2 feel like a neon-soaked love letter to the no-bulls*** FPS classics of yesteryear.
