CD Projekt Red's upcoming sci-fi RPG was first announced back in 2012, and though the game is clearly in a highly advanced state of development per some incredible gameplay footage, it seems that the title is still in a constant state of evolution.

In a recent interview, Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz declared that Cyberpunk's gameplay had already changed significantly from what was shown off in the demo, while CDPR board member Adam KiciƄski stated that the game could very well end up a cross-generation title.

This is certainly encouraging for those who were worried that console versions of Cyberpunk might end up feeling a tad neutered, especially with the fairly middling power of the PS4 Pro.

With development still very much in flux, it's looking likely that we'll end up with PS5/Xbox Anaconda versions of Cyberpunk 2077, and depending on the precise nature of both platforms' backwards/forwards compatibility systems, perhaps it'll simply require inserting the PS4/Xbox One disc into the new hardware and downloading an update.

Given the game's stunning technical complexity, the prospect of non-PC players being able to play it in all of its highest-res glory on next-gen consoles is mightily alluring indeed.
