With EA recently dropping the first trailer for Respawn Entertainment's much-anticipated Star Wars third-person shooter, many are understandably still concerned that Respawn will simply be the latest talented dev team to be railroaded by a greedy EA into squandering the Star Wars IP.

But over the last few weeks we've been hearing a number of increasingly promising tidbits, that the game will include no mundane, forced stealth sequences, nor will it include any online multiplayer whatsoever, no micro-transactions or loot boxes, and best of all, it won't use EA's problematic in-house Frostbite engine.

Though we're still yet to see an actual scrap of gameplay from Jedi: Fallen Order, fans are certainly hearing all the right things so far, that EA just might've learned from the violent fan backlash to the Star Wars Battlefront games.

And while it'd definitely be smart to hold off on pre-ordering and wait for reviews ahead of its November 15, 2019 release date, given Respawn's aptitude for crafting slick, ingenious single-player gameplay, this is definitely the most promising Star Wars project to emerge in quite some time.

Cross your fingers, cross your toes, and cross everything you can that EA doesn't bungle it again.
