10 Awesome Minigames In Video Game Credits

6. Sam & Max Hit The Road (1993)

Devil May Cry 3
LucasArts

The era of LucasArts point-and-click adventure games was a joy to behold. Among the likes of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Grim Fandango and the Monkey Island series is the hilarious Sam & Max Hit the Road, an adaptation of Steve Purcell's comic book characters of the same names.

The game features all of the self-aware and whimsical humour you'd expect from a LucasArts game, with the added bonus that the fun is far from over by the time the credits roll.

With the player still very much in control, the ending scene shows Sam and Max unwinding after a hard day's work at a shooting gallery. A number of silhouettes will shimmy across the screen, which you're free to pop as many caps at as you like.

Many of these targets aren't just generic images, either, and the more observant among you will likely have picked out R2-D2, Bubsy the Bobcat, and even a tentacle from LucasArts' own Maniac Mansion series.
