10 Awesome Minigames In Video Game Credits
7. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2009)
Even non-gamers are familiar with the classic platforming, mushroom-scoffing, box-headbutting gameplay of the Super Mario series. It's strangely addictive, and appeals to all ages. So, wouldn't it have been foolish of the developers to take that away from us, even during the game's credits reel?
Like Rayman Origins, this sequence lets Mario (along with Luigi and the two Toads, depending on how many people are playing) run and jump around a small square area, in which each letter of the developers' names is treated like the standard boxes of the main game.
By jumping up underneath them or ground-pounding onto them, these names will crumble into nothing, giving you one last playground to freely mess around in while alleviating the boredom of yet another drab credits sequence.
Your 'tactics' are completely up to you: do you tackle it from the middle, or the edges? Do you climb up to the top and ground pound all the way to the bottom? Or, do you take the more puerile route and start bashing the names down into your favourite curse words?
Don't worry, we've all done it.
