10 Awesome Minigames In Video Game Credits
3. Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (2005)
The Devil May Cry series is widely beloved for its fast-paced action, crushing difficulty and, perhaps most notably, its deeply intricate hack-and-slash combat that helped to define the entire genre.
With games as visceral and high-octane as these, suddenly having to stare at a wall of text for minutes on end can only ever be their total undoing. Luckily for us, the developers seemed to know that just as well, and chose to have the credits run during Devil May Cry 3's epic final action sequence.
"This is what I live for!" exclaims Dante as the fight begins, at which point control is handed back over to the player for them to mess up as many demons as they like.
Not only is it quite possibly the perfect way to end a game such as this, but the minigame also hides a bonus objective, as killing 100 enemies in the time you're given grants you access to a special post-credits scene, showing the origins of Dante's shop, Devil May Cry.
