2. Chris Redfield Takes On The Village
Having just seen Ethan die at the hands of Miranda, the game leaves you wondering what the hell is going on before continuing from the point of view of Chris.
He gives a helpful overview of what he’s been doing between popping in on Ethan, being all mysterious, and begins a military siege on the village that feels like a crazy change in pace from the rest of the game. And it’s AWESOME.
Racing through the village, now infested with familiar black tendrils of mold (shout out to RE7), it’s like you’ve been given control of an action movie hero. You’re stocked with grenades and guns that pack a serious punch, allowing you to single-handedly plough through hoards of lycans.
As if that wasn’t badass enough, you then gain access to a missile launcher to rain hell down on the mutamycete between bouts of lycan-killing!
And let’s not forget you now PUNCH enemies away from you. Watching Lycans go flying is immensely satisfying.
