2. Donkey Kong Killed Mario And Luigi's Father
Mario is a hero from the mushroom kingdom. Jumpman is a plumber from New York City. Mario spends his life rescuing Princess Peach from Bowser. Jumpman spends his time trying to save his girlfriend Pauline from the clutches of Donkey Kong.
The two men look almost exactly the same, and are often confused, but theyre entirely separate characters. Nintendo themselves have confirmed that the original Donkey Kong is actually Cranky Kong, the grandfather of the current Donkey Kong, so what does that make Jumpman to Mario?
Well, many have speculated that Jumpman is actually Mario and Luigis father, which does actually make a lot of sense given their many similarities. However, this theory only really becomes interesting once weve considered the ending to Donkey Kong Jr., in which Jumpman is clearly killed in the closing moments of the game. In fact, a halo even appears above the characters head, clearly signifying his ultimate doom.
