10 Awesome Video Games You Can't Play Anymore

Okay, hear me out on this one.

Sure, PlayStation Home didn't exactly live up to its pre-release hype as something that was going to revolutionize the gaming industry. Hell, it didn't even manage to make it out of the beta stage before being shut down in 2015.

But it was a hugely ambitious concept, initially envisioned as a social network hub for PlayStation players from all around the world to get together, customise their avatars, play a variety of minigames, and even converse with seamless live translation. However, such lofty ideas prove almost impossible to successfully implement, and while Home showed glimpses of greatness, the idea just never really caught on...

Many of the aspects included in Home were almost unheard of on release in December 2008, and while it would eventually succumb to technical limitations that rendered many of its lofty ambition to become the go-to place for all gamers impossible, commercialisation in Home was rampant, and despite being viewed as a failure, the service actually proved to be hugely profitable for Sony.

Though the player base had already been declining for some time prior to Home's closure in 2015, it will live on in the minds of all who entered it as a primarily bizarre, but also occasionally brilliant concept.
