10 Awesome Weapons That Actually Made Video Games Worse
1. FarSight XR-20 - Perfect Dark
But none of these weapons can quite match the over-empowering insanity of Perfect Dark's FarSight XR-20, a weapon so potent it basically feels like a parody of every other weapon on this list.
Not only is the FarSight a rail-gun capable of killing any unshielded enemy with a single hit, but it can also fire directly through walls, doors, and even other people.
And "better" still, its secondary mode can actively track targets through walls, effectively giving players a mild aim assist on top of all the other aforementioned advantages.
The mild trade-off was that the X-ray sight made it impossible to spot players in your immediate vicinity, but given the weapon's ludicrous power and literal scope, it was a no-brainer regardless.
The FarSight is the ultimate example of a weapon which eradicates most sense of single-player challenge while also ruining friendships on the multiplayer side.
A creative piece of kit, no question, but one which should've never been put in players' hands.
