10 Best Levels In Star Wars Game History

8. The Battle Of Endor - Star Wars Battlefront 2

Though the single player options in EA's Star Wars Battlefront series were a far cry from what fans of the franchise were used to seeing, the first true experience of seeing Iden Versio and Inferno Squad in action will always be the ultimate example of what could have been.

With all of its faults over microtransactions and loot boxes, it cannot be denied that Battlefront II is a remarkably beautiful game to play, with no setting illustrating this better than the luscious woodlands of Endor.

Taking place immediately as the Rebel Alliance succeeds in destroying the Second Death Star, Battlefront II's first full story mission immediately stands out from most other Star Wars levels by offering a completely fresh perspective on an event most fans have seen dozens of times in the past.

The level sees players scale through the woodland world as it is ravaged by the ongoing battle, and is surprisingly challenging for an opening level in a game like this. It requires players to be smart and tactical with how the approach every section, really flexes the capabilities of the game's Frostbite 3 engine, and actually goes a long way in making the Battle of Endor seem a bit more grandiose than what Return of the Jedi served up.
