9. Kashyyyk - Star Wars Battlefront
Though the original Battlefront 2 will always be superior, it's important that Star Wars Battlefront gets the love it deserves. Undoubtedly the best FPS Star Wars had ever conjured up at the time, Battlefront allowed players to take control of all the major factions from the series and rampage across all the famous planets and locations from the first five films. It also introduced the ability to take control of various vehicles and boasted a remarkably strong multiplayer for the time.
Despite the fact that Kashyyyk hadn't actually ever been seen in a main Star Wars film at the time of the game's release, the Wookie homeland always stood out as the best map in the game.
Split into two parts of Docks and Islands, Kashyyyk allows all four factions to take part and features both some of the most stunning visual designs, as well as some of the most strategic map designs found in the game. The Islands pick in particular, with its late evening setting and heavily biased CIS/Rebel design, makes for a really intense experience for even the most experienced of players.
Out of all the maps Battlefront introduced, Kashyyyk was definitely the one that would go onto have the most profound influence on the series going forward as well.
