10 Best Post-Apocalyptic Games To Play Until Fallout 4 Arrives

9. NEO-Scavenger

Now here's something a little different. This turn-based game strips away all the visual pizazz of other post-apocalyptic titles, and places all the focus on survival. In a way it's the most realistic game on this list because, let's face it, in a real societal-collapse scenario we'll just be cowering in abandoned barns and wetting ourselves to stay warm rather than heading out on righteous missions armed to the teeth with guns. Whereas in most post-apocalyptic games you'll be searching for better weapons and ammo on bodies, in NEO Scavenger pretty much anything you find is worth holding onto - from a tattered single shoe (better to keep one foot warm than none) to a plastic bag (to, erm, stick over your head when it all gets too much?). NEO Scavenger is a true roguelike, so when you die it's game over and you'll have to start again. Life sure ain't pretty after the apocalypse... Similarity to Fallout 4: Comparing NEO Scavenger's graphics to Fallout 4 is like comparing a child's scrawlings to Monet, but as a raw survival experience NEO Scavenger makes Bethesda's upcoming powerhouse look like a cub scout camping trip.
