10 Best RPG Quests That DON'T Involve Combat
6. "The Taxman Cometh" (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

Most of the quests in this game about slaying monsters have you, unsurprisingly, slaying monsters. However, the mundanities of real life exist for Geralt of Rivia too, as seen in this hilarious side quest featuring the scariest of all creatures, the tax man.
If a Witcher 3 player manages to accumulate a tasty sum of coin (35k Crowns, to be exact) in the Hearts of Stone expansion, they'll soon run into a strange man named Walthemor Mitty. Calling himself a "deputy tax enumerator," he comes not with a contract for you but rather a questionnaire to assess your "undeclared income." Exciting, right? You're then given three questions, your answers determining whether you're bestowed a diploma for your upstanding work or ordered to pay some back taxes.
The questions themselves are hilarious, as they relate to popular money-making exploits many players discovered and abused, such as killing cows for their hides in White Orchard or hoarding peals. As such, the whole quest is a hilarious in-joke from the developers poking fun at the player's ingenious schemes.
