5. “Your Date With Alphys” (Undertale)
It is time for yet another relationship matchmaking side quest. The difference this time, however, is that your romantic hijinks don't go quite according to plan, leading to one of the most entertaining character moments in this classic indie title.
Undertale players performing a Pacifist Run get way more content from the game's numerous NPCs. For a start, you barely get to know the Captain of the Royal Guard, Undyne, if you don't go down this route. One fine example is this Pacifist-only quest that starts when Undyne calls you and asks you to meet her.
Rather than yelling at you or trying to fight, Undyne gives you a letter and asks you to pass it on to Alphys - but don't even think about reading it because she will kill you, so she says. Upon delivering this letter, Alphys will get flustered before revealing it's a love letter. Perhaps out of politeness more than anything else, she decides to take you on a date; cue the awkward silence.
Eventually, Undyne appears, and the whole mess is straightened out, leading to an adorable moment where the two confess their feelings. Aww.
