4. Shadow Of Mordor (2014)

Nathan Fillion Drake Uncharted
Warner Bros.

Shadow of Mordor, much like the game, is just one bad day if you're a Orc. Set in Tolkien's Middle-Earth and sponsored by Warner Bros., Shadow of Mordor is a stellar creation, capturing just what it means to be part of its world. From the sense of scale of the landscape, to the high quality costumes of the Orcs, this film feels as though it's been pulled right out of the game - and by extension it seems like it would fit right in with Peter Jackson's film trilogies.

With amazing fight choreography, and acting that could be in a full blockbuster movie, Shadow of Mordor focuses around Krimp the Orc, and he's one of the most compelling Orcs that have been put to film. Though Talion is present, Krimp is without a doubt the main character of the work, and embodies the puny Orcs that the ranger cuts through in the game. You may even start to pity him a little bit by the end - and pitying an Orc is a truly hard thing to do.
