7. Guacamelee! 2 - Wonderwall

Red Dead Redemption 2 Easter Egg
Drinkbox

Slight rule-bending on this one, as it happens in story dialogue and doesn't require seeking out. But, as it was so tone-shiftingly funny, we'll let it slide.

On the hunt to stop evil luchador Salvador from obtaining the legendary guacamole and thus ending the world (because reasons), Juan and crew learn more about the man behind the mask.

Arriving at the orphanage he was abandoned to, a kind nun with a guitar tells the solemn tale of how Salvador rose to power and how his good intentions have become twisted into his plan to gain ultimate dominance.

Then, apropos of nothing, she decides she's had enough and cries, "Anyway, here's Wonderwall!" to just brighten the mood. Synonymous with bringing any karaoke night to a halt, Wonderwall is a dreary song by Britpop peers Oasis in the 90's.

That a Mexican nun decides to bust it out mid-monologue is just one more reason why this is one of the year's most entertaining games.
