4. "F**K The Oscars" (A Way Out)

Not only was A Way Out one of the most enjoyable surprises of the year thanks to its everything-and-the-kitchen-sink approach to gameplay, but also because of its lead developer, Josef Fares. Infamously making a name for himself by coming out at The Game Awards in 2017 and going on a rant that culminated in him yelling "f**k the Oscars!", the director's personality became a selling point of the game entirely unto itself.

Paying homage to that clip going viral, the developers actually slipped it into A Way Out itself. During the hospital chapter you're given the opportunity to have a leisurely stroll and interact with any NPCs you see, including one voiced by Fares himself. If you strike up a conversation, players can ask why the man is trying to find beer and get drunk in a hospital, with the character letting out his own cry of "f**k the Oscars!" to end the exchange.

It took until Fares decided to share the clip on Twitter before anyone really realised they could trigger this unique piece of dialogue, and it no doubt encouraged a bunch of players to return to the chapter to see it for themselves.
