What's a list without a cancelled Hideo Kojima project, really?

While P.T is the crowning jewel of fan disappointment - as the trailer we got, suggesting a horrifying and fantastic game, promptly became all we got - some likely don't know what it was the demo for.

This was supposed to be the sneak preview for a game called Silent Hills, which would be a collaboration between two directors; Hideo Kojima, and Guillermo Del Toro, a famous filmmaker responsible for gothic works such as Pan's Labyrinth.

It was also revealed that iconic horror manga artist Junji Ito would have been involved in this project, which is especially painful to learn, as much of his works involves making the everyday frightening - which would have made him a perfect fit to make the franchise even more terrifying.

As it is, professional conflicts appear to have birthed this cancellation, as it was reported that Kojima and a section of his staff intended to leave the company after Metal Gear V was completed.

While we'll never see what glorious prospect this game appeared to be, Del Toro and Kojima would produce Death Stranding together, under new company Kojima Productions.
