3. Samorost 3

You've only to take a very brief glance at any screenshot of Samorost 3 to get a sense of how odd and otherworldly it is. The Samorost series began way back in 2003, and was put out for free on developer Amanita Design's website. This was followed up by a sequel in 2005, leading to the third entry's release over a decade later, the first in the series to be a full-length game with HD graphics.

The Samorost games follow a point-and-click format, as the player guides a small humanoid though a surreal world solving puzzles and brain teasers. Evoking the surrealism of that world is music composed by Tomáš Dvořák, a Czech musician who also did the music for the fantastic point-and-click game Machinarium.

Dvořák's music in Samorost 3 is a barrage of strange sounds, some loud and overwhelming while others are surprisingly catchy. It all depends on what gorgeous piece of art is dominating the screen, but rest assured: the music from Samorost 3 will certainly transport you to an alien, surreal land.
