10 Big Unannounced Video Games You'll Be Playing In 2018

4. Hitman Season 2

Hitman game
Square Enix

Likelihood: 8/10

The Hitman franchise has endured a rather rocky road over the past few years. Despite releasing the stellar return-to-form Hitman Season 1, the episodic game was a rather difficult sell to both die-hard fans as well as a wider audience, resulting in a title that underperformed and led to the developers at IO Interactive having to separate from their publisher, Square Enix.

Fortunately, the developers still retain the rights to make more Hitman games and, capitalising on the groundswell of support that Season 1 has earned in the year since its release, are gearing up to restart work on the franchise right now. While they've already said that the next piece of content won't be a sequel but will rather be DLC, that doesn't also mean production on Season 2 hasn't already begun.

The foundation is there, so it's not out of the question that IO would be able to at least get the first episode or two of the next season out before the end of 2018, hopefully to more fanfare than the original game received back in 2016.
