4. Nintendo Ends Support For The NES Classic

Last year the NES Classic was one of the most difficult products to get your hands on. Despite the overwhelming demand for the console, Nintendo supplied barely any to retailers, deciding to instead stagger out the release with a small smattering of machines at a time.

That was a problem in and of itself, but most people at least assumed that they'd be able to pick one up at some some point, even if Nintendo refused to get their act together to release enough of them to actually satisfy the demand.

Of course Nintendo is a company that seemingly hates making money and responded in the only reasonable manner - by discontinuing the product altogether after only five months and announcing a brand new console, the SNES Classic, instead.
