10 Biggest Video Game Time Sinks

4. Scribblenauts Unlimited

Scribblenauts Unlimited
5th Cell

Just how much of a time sink is Scribblenauts Unlimited? You can literally play for hours and not get past the title screen.

The innovative puzzle solving series from 5th Cell allows you to use a magic notebook to summon just about anything you can think of. Ostensibly, you're to use this to solve puzzles; summon a rain cloud to put out a fire, summon a ladder to reach the roof of a building, summon a chainsaw to get through a barrier. Most players, however, won't get to this point for some time.

When you start the game, you find your avatar (little Maxwell) in a generic environment with the notebook there to use. Summon anything you want. Write Large Hadron Collider and see if it truly does destroy the universe. See how many different horned and hoofed animals you can think of. Summon God and Cthulhu and see who wins the fight.

Once you eventually get past the interactive title screen, you will find that the puzzles are just as fun to solve, with hundreds of possible solutions and the only limitation being your own imagination. Scribblenauts Unlimited lets you add adjectives and combine items to make new creations, improving on the already brilliant games that went before, and giving you even more to do.
