4. It's Not Over - Twelve Minutes

Twelve Minutes
Annapurna

In Twelve Minutes, a husband arrives home to learn his wife is pregnant. Soon after, a hostile intruder breaks in and strangles the husband to death. Unfortunately, this is the only the beginning of the husband's problems, since his death creates a time-loop, turning the clock back 12 minutes.

If the husband leaves the apartment, dies, or time runs out, the loop restarts. Only by performing a string of specific actions can the husband escape from his unique predicament.

Because no clear goal is given, it goes without saying that this point-and-click adventure requires a hefty amount of trial-and-error. For several hours, players will try to befriend, overpower, or kill the attacker, only to be met with the same result time and time again.

But once enough clues are put together, the husband manages to talk down the invader, compelling him to admit his wrongdoing. While watching the trio come to a peaceful understanding, players should be chuffed, knowing the situation has been solved.

Why is why it's bewildering when the time-loop starts again! In that moment, players realise there was another crucial detail they completely missed. This was a genius rug-pull, since players were 100% certain it was all said and done.
