3. Mass Effect 4 Gets A Playable Demo
Bioware need a big win following the last few years, as although Dragon Age: Inquisition claimed Game of the Year for many sites (
including our own), it wasn't the cross-demographic slaying behemoth they needed for it to wash away the sour taste of Mass Effect 3's ending. It's most likely nothing ever will, although ME4 has seen
one hell of a leak of information bursting out of Bioware's HQ, and if all the talk of mining resources, pushing back a galaxy-wide threat and partaking in a huge amount of customisation is true - seeing that in action will mean all is forgiven. Last year we saw confirmation it was at least in the works, but what followed from the team were essentially superlatives surrounding it being "a totally different experience" and "something they can't wait to show more of" - pretty standard fare for preview coverage. Now it's a year later, the team have seen a few shakeups in their structure (
losing Casey Hudson along the way) and whatever the leaked info was referring to must be in motion - so let's what they've got.
