3. Stephen's Sausage Roll

If you haven't already played Stephen's Sausage Roll, then you really should. Or maybe you shouldn't, I don't know. By playing Stephen's Sausage Roll, you become fully accustomed to failure, and the moment you overcome your failures, the game subtly introduces new mechanics and the cycle of failure begins all over again.

It's practically impossible, at first. As simple as it sounds, (roll sausages over a grill, there are four parts to each sausage, each must touch the grill once, but cannot touch it twice), it requires a chess-player like ability to think ahead. And with every new level, the chess-board changes, and all the pieces along with it.

Never has the mundane (you're cooking sausages) seemed so difficult, or engaging. There are very few moments of clear satisfaction, rather, a general climb up an endless mountain. And six hours later, when you are forced back into reality by the need to eat or urinate, you ask yourself 'What the hell have I been doing?' And the answer, of course, is cooking sausages. Or more likely, burning them.
