10 Broken Triple-A Video Games You Didn't Realise Got Fixed
8. For Honor
A multiplayer action game where you take on the role of a Viking, Samurai, or Knight? This should have been a massive IP for multiplayer gaming. Sadly, it was a concept Ubisoft immaculately fumbled, as it was as broken as a shield after being whacked with a war hammer!
For Honor's online connectivity problems were dreadful, as the game didn't run on dedicated servers. There were crashes and disconnects galore, which is, naturally, a death knell for any online multiplayer. It also came with a fair few bugs, which remained consistent post-launch.
This all led to a mass exodus of the player base, with For Honor's initial promise left to fester in disappointment. But, as of right now, the game is in the best state it has ever been.
There are still plenty of problems, but the game runs much smoother. The online connection is stronger, and the bugs are lesser. Plus, there are two new factions, the Wu Lin and Outlanders.
While the number of active players has dwindled, there's still a dedicated fanbase, so you'll be able to enjoy the challenging combat against other skilled gamers.
For Honor will never be the game-changer it was supposed to be. But it is worth a play in 2023.
