10 Broken Video Games Finally Ready To Play

4. Assassin’s Creed Unity

If there’s one game to use as an example of a broken sequel that managed to piss everybody off, look no further than Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The fifth mainline title in the Assassin’s Creed series tried to go big and managed to fail so spectacularly that people are still talking about its failure. When the game launched you were able to find bugs and glitches around every corner of the Paris streets.

Some of the most notorious problems came with the textures missing from characters. In cut scenes, you'd see some eyeballs floating in the air and a creepy mouth giving you orders on what to do next. It's the stuff of nightmares that made you want to delete the game as quickly as possible or even burn the disc in order to drive out the evil spirits that caused this mess to be released.

One might even say that there is no redeeming the atrocity that was Assassin’s Creed Unity, but now is actually a great time to play it. With 2019 not having an Assassin’s Creed entry and 2020's still a ways off, now is a great time to go back and play the black sheep of the family.

Multiple patches managed to salvage Unity and it’s actually quite fun to play. While the co-op aspect of the game isn’t the best, it might be smart to check it out now since rumours off four-player co-op have been swirling around the next Assassin’s Creed game.
