Of course, no discussion of brutal video game moves is complete without a little check in on Mortal Kombat, beloved by generations for providing them with a good old fashioned spot of bloodshed and mayhem.

And they've only amped it up over the years. So long as you possess the dexterity and memory to pull off the necessary combos, you're in for a world of almost unbridled violence.

That said, some finishers do more than others. Take, for example Ermac's absolutely insane finisher "Inner Workings" from Mortal Kombat 10.

The spooky ninja raises you into the air with his telekinetic powers, and then gently yanks your internal organs out of you, before crushing them to land in a delicate pile on the floor.

It does all raise the question of why Ermac doesn't just de-gut everyone he ever fights before they even get to it. In the end, it's probably because that would be less fun, though, and you have to kind of respect that, even if it's more than a little messed up when you think about it.
