10 Cancelled Video Games That Could Have Been Masterpieces

6. inSane

Developer: Volition Concept: Survival horror game co-created with Guillermo del Toro For many video games, great things have happened when movie directors came on board to help with the project. From John Woo's Stranglehold to Peter Jackson's King Kong, involving someone well-versed in cinema has historically led to more good games than bad. Because of this, many fans were excited when it emerged that Guillermo del Toro, famous for directing films like Pan's Labyrinth and Pacific Rim, would be involved in creating survival horror game inSane. Things seemed to be going swimmingly for the project, with an excellent teaser trailer being released to boot. Despite the big name that was involved, the closure of publisher THQ meant that work on inSane ended. Del Toro stated in 2012 that inSane was in development with a "very big company", but nothing has since been announced. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoyUCK44_8A
