10 Celebrities You Couldn't Take Seriously In Video Games

1. David Cross - Halo 2

Subservience Mortal Kombat
Fox & Bungie

Halo 2 boasts a bevy of name actors in voice roles, namely the likes of Keith David, Ron Perlman, Robert Davi, Michael Wincott, and even Michelle Rodriguez, all of whom fit quite snugly into the world Bungie's sci-fi FPS.

And then there's David Cross, whose unmistakable voice as a Marine is a total and utter distraction every time he shows up.

Now to be clear, Cross' character is absolutely intended to be comic relief and the actor clearly has a blast with the various daft one-liners, but given that Arrested Development began airing barely a month before Halo 2's release, it was tough not to just think of Tobias Funke the entire time.

Cross' involvement is even more uncanny given that he didn't lend his likeness to the part, so the Marine in question is a generic-looking grunt who just so happens to sound exactly like Tobias.

Then again, it'd surely be even tougher to take the character seriously if he also had David Cross' face, right?
