10 Celebrities You Couldn't Take Seriously In Video Games

2. Megan Fox - Mortal Kombat 1

The Mortal Kombat franchise has an uneven history with hiring celebrities to voice its celebrated fighters, and after being firmly roasted by fans for hiring Ronda Rousey to voice Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm sought out Megan Fox to portray vampiress Nitara in the recent Mortal Kombat 1.

Fox's performance in the role was swiftly criticised by fans, as Nitara's various imposing one-liners were delivered with a pronounced lack of energy.

Fighting game characters should generally look and sound larger than life, yet Fox's voice work largely feels like she was rattling the dialogue off having never read it before and only having enough time for one take a-piece.

It also doesn't help that Fox additionally lent her likeness to the role, and while she's not an inherently poor choice to play a kickass vampire - she's played similar roles before, after all - it's constantly apparent that we're looking at Megan Fox rather than, well, Nitara.
