5. Add Debuting Superstars Faster

Part of the appeal each year for the WWE 2K franchise is the ability to play as your favorite wrestlers as they debut or return to the company. WWE 2K brings new members of the roster by way of Downloadable Content throughout the year, but with several roster updates in the months after a game's release, fans are often still left wanting, as certain big stars end up being entirely missing from the game.

WWE 2K25 has been out for over four months, and the likes of Rey Fenix and Rusev still have yet to be announced as upcoming inclusions to the roster. On top of that, with WWE's partnership with TNA and ownership of AAA, including the likes of Joe Hendry and El Hijo del Vikingo could generate buzz for the game.

While this may be appealing for players, though, the obvious big reason why WWE and Visual Concepts often hold off on debuting new stars in their releases is that they're prioritizing next year's game and adding those wrestlers to that release.

With fans wanting to play as their favorite wrestlers, and 2K wanting to hold off until the next game, it's imperative that a middle ground be found. Here's hoping that WWE 2K26 can be the happy medium that fans and developers can both be happy with.
