10 Changes That Must Be Made To WWE 2K26

6. Add Tag Team Gauntlet Matches

In the last few years, 2K and Visual Concepts have done a great job of including nearly every match type into the game, with this year highlighted by Special Guest Referee, Bloodline Rules, and Underground matches.

Unless players are looking for complete one-off matches, such as a Nigerian Drum Fight or a House of Horrors match, there is not much left, with the one exception that would be tag team gauntlet matches.

While not a major missing piece, there have been a number of amazing tag team gauntlet matches on WWE programming that left fans wanting to recreate them in 2K games. Being able to run back the New Day's gauntlet to ensure Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 34, or even the Number One Contenders Women's Tag Team gauntlet from earlier this year, would be an added boost for players.

This is not to mention the benefits of adding tag team gauntlets to online gameplay. Doing so would be a perfect way to include a large number of players in one match that does not involve a mass of wrestlers in the ring at the same time. While there is not much left out there, adding a tag team gauntlet match could be the one missing piece in the expansive list of WWE 2K match types.
