Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a poignant portrait of grief set within a fantastical version of Belle Époque France. It also contains some of the most demanding boss fights in recent years.

As the group of surviving expeditioners journey to defeat a strange being known as The Paintress, they'll face a vast number of powerful enemies along the way. However, none are as difficult as Simon.

Alongside being strong enough to annihilate party members with a single hit, Simon also has an ability that permanently removes downed characters from the action. Even when players think they've won, the fight only intensifies with a surprise second phase.

As unforgiving as this battle is, Simon has a more devious trick up his sleeve. When his health reaches a certain point, he unleashes an unblockable attack that instantly kills anyone left on the battlefield before entering an even deadlier final phase.  Not only do players need to be near-perfect to survive his long combos, but they're also forced to either face his final stage with their two-person backup team or strategically deal enough damage to bypass this phase entirely.
