10 Cheap Boss Fights That Made You Rage Quit
6. The Last Judge - Hollow Knight: Silksong (2025)
Like Hallownest before it, Pharloom in Hollow Knight: Silksong is populated with perilous platforming and deadly enemies. The most formidable of which are its roster of bosses, each more challenging than the last.
As players make their way towards The Citadel, they'll encounter the likes of Sister Splinter, Widow, and The Savage Beastfly, all of which can drive them to controller-breaking insanity. However, if players choose to reach the Citadel via The Blasted Steps, they'll find The Last Judge guarding the gate.
Being the final boss of Act One, this is the hardest fight that players will have faced at this point. With its constant aggression and far-reaching attacks, players need to stay on their toes at all times to survive.
The introduction of new fire attacks only makes the confrontation more intense during the second phase. However, if players happen to stand too close to their fallen foe once The Last Judge is finally defeated, Hornet will be unceremoniously killed when the boss self-destructs, snatching victory from players at the last second and forcing them to retry this tough fight all over again.
For all the traps Team Cherry deploys in Silksong, this one was just cruel.
