10 Classic Nintendo Games That NEED Switch Remakes
1. Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
It quite simply has to be number one. With Link’s Awakening already being remade, there is admittedly a limited chance of Ocarina Of Time joining the Switch family too, but while we’re fantasising about the classics, this one needs a seat at the head of the table.
Breath Of The Wild solidified Zelda as franchise that no longer needs to look over its shoulder at bygone glories. A genuine contender not only as the best Zelda game ever, but as the greatest game of the generation, BOTW means Zelda can focus firmly on building for the future and blowing everyone away all over again with a follow up.
That said, wouldn’t it be amazing to dive back into Ocarina Of Time, joycons in hand? Everyone’s favourite Zelda game tends to be their first, and Majora’s Mask can consider itself unlucky to miss out, but Ocarina just edged it.
Modern RPGs likely wouldn’t be modern without Ocarina Of Time, or at least they would look very different. With target locking systems, buttons that changed dependent on context (allowing for more fluidity) and a blend of action elements, it remains one of the single most influential games of all time.
