All rants about sexism aside, now its time to lay into Ubisoft for screwing over Wii U adopters, because, in a nutshell, thats what happened here. Ubisoft announced Rayman: Legends as a Wii U exclusive to be released in early February, but then, when they noticed that roughly 11 people on the planet actually bought the console they had to seriously retool their marketing strategy. Ubisoft went about this in the worst possible way honestly, with pretty much only how they could benefit in mind. Rayman: Legends was delayed until September so the game could receive a simultaneous release across all platforms. Thats great for those that didnt buy a Wii U, but some gamers did fork over $400 to play this particular game. Furthermore, the Wii U version was already done and also delayed to September despite the wishes of the actual developers. Heres the real kicker; Ubisoft consciously sent their own game out to die, because pretty much every gamer under the sun skipped Rayman in favor of GTA V, which was one of the most anticipated games in history as evident from its $1billion week opening.
