10 Controversial Video Games Everybody Totally Misunderstood

7. Bulletstorm - "The Worst Video Game In The World"

You what? It's been longer than a few moments since Fox News freaked out about something? Very true, let's remedy that, shall we?

In a story that's even weirder now that time has passed and it's vanished into the ether altogether, Fox decided to go after Epic Games' Gears of War-followup, Bulletstorm, in 2011. Why? Probably because the name sounds like something 90s Bart Simpson would play when Marge and Homer are away, but mostly because the game's way of making combos out of violent acts struck a chord with their production team.

They even went as far as relating the ease of which players could settle into violent acts with sexually-fuelled labels (killing groups of enemies is called a 'Gang Bang') to claiming that was why a rise in reported rapes was happening across the country.

Now THAT, is some sensationalised 'journalism'.
