2016 hack-and-slash action-adventure Dragon Quest Heroes 2 has a lot of moving parts but for the purposes of our list today the bit you’re going to be concerned with is the fast travel mechanic.

This is enabled with the use of the Zoom spell which lets you warp to a location you’ve visited once you activate the relevant Zoomstones.

That’s all very straightforward but in a delightful turn of events developer Omega Force decided that if you try to use the spell inside there are some pretty entertaining consequences. Since the spell traditionally works by shooting you up in the air and dropping you at a Zoomstone, using it indoors will result in your character flying up, smacking against the ceiling, face planting on the floor, and, for good measure, granting you the Head Banger achievement.

Does this achieve anything that text saying ‘can’t cast indoors’ wouldn’t? Absolutely not, but are we glad this is the route the devs chose? Undoubtedly.

You guys brought up that this has actually been a feature in several Dragon Quest titles which just makes it even better.
