10 Cult Classic Video Games That Deserve A Sequel
2. Vanquish
Bayonetta managed to get a second chance, so why not Vanquish? Sam Gideon and his ARS Suit are itching for a comeback.
The fast-paced, shoot em up gameplay that debuted in Vanquish still hasn't really been seen in any other game yet. Although the characters and world in Vanquish are pretty unique themselves, the big reason why the game became so popular is because of the combat.
Sliding from enemy to enemy, kicking them in the face and then shooting them to tiny pieces feels absolutely seamless, and makes the typical shooting gameplay feel completely unique from other titles. This is exactly why Vanquish needs to make a return; there isn't really any other shooter like it.
Recently, Sega and Platinum Games ported Vanquish over to the PC at a much higher definition and frame-rate, which does indicate that they recognise the game's status as a cult classic. This hopefully indicates that we might see more Vanquish sometime soon.
