10 Cult Classic Video Games That Deserve A Sequel
3. Enslaved: Oddysey To The West
Enslaved: Oddysey to the West is an extremely overlooked action title that unfortunately ended on a cliffhanger. Wherever Monkey and Trip end up going next, we definitely want to see it.
Despite receiving very positive critical reception, Enslaved didn't have nearly enough sales to consider it a success. This makes a sequel seem very unlikely, which is a shame because of how great Enslaved really is.
Combat and movement are also pretty unique in Enslaved, combining hack and slash-esque combat and a traversal system similar to the Uncharted titles. This ends up making the game pretty entertaining to play, which only makes playing through the story even more enjoyable.
The thing that truly makes Enslaved special is the relationship between the lead duo, Monkey and Trip. These two characters have an extremely developed connection that feels real because of how it grows throughout the game.
Although this might be hard to replicate in a sequel, continuing their adventures and giving them new trials would hopefully make a second game even more exciting.
