Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated games in the entire CDPR library, and when it hit, all those years of buildup were rewarded with... a mess. It was uh, it was rewarded with a mess.

Sweet Jesus on Broadway riding a unicycle while singing showtunes, this game was a broken mess. Glitches, bugs, and lag galore! Cyberpunk 2077 could not have made a worse first impression on the gaming public if the disc had jumped out of their PS4's, grew a whole ass human arm, and used it to slap their collective mothers across the face.

People were furious, especially when the reason why the game was so broken, i.e. crap management and inhuman levels of dev crunch, was revealed afterward. Cyberpunk 2077 started off on the kind of bad first impression a game never really comes back from. But that doesn't mean we can't try.

Yes, after years of being the laughingstock of social media and YouTube, thorough patching by the devs has finally made the game actually playable. So if you want to see the game you COULD have gotten if CDPR didn't treat their staff like chattel, then give it another try.
