Chris – boulders for arms – Redfield is a mountain of a man with biceps larger than his own head, but that wasn’t always the case. In fact, he looked relatively normal in the original game, as well as Resident Evil Code: Veronica. So, what happened in the nine years since his last appearance? In Resident Evil 5, he looks downright ridiculous – his arms are ludicrously proportioned, his shoulders forming a crater around his seemingly non-existent neck.

Remember when everyone complained about the tank controls in the game? Well – given the character's size – the controls might have been an attempt at some sort of realism.

After all, a man his size would have trouble turning his head from side to side, or squeezing through doors, let alone shooting, moving and evading enemies simultaneously. Come to think of it, the dislodging of that boulder also makes a lot more sense, so maybe it was done intentionally.
