us 90s gamers, but Final Fantasy X was
amazing at the time. From the Sphere Grid that let you remix all sorts of approaches to speccing your character to the Blitzball minigame that thousands of us remember just as fondly as playing the main game, Square's last dedicated turn-based battler can easily hold its own against the golden trilogy of VII, VIII and IX. However... although bad voice acting can be overlooked if a game's concept and execution elsewhere is spot on (looking at you, Heavy Rain), should you then throw 'quirky Japanese humour' into that melting pot of potential horror - the end result is what you see above. Back then it was filed under the banner of "Oh Square, you so crazy and Eastern!", but now... well, just watch. It makes Anakin and Padmé's romance look positively Shakespearean.
