10 Dream N64 Games We Need On Nintendo Switch
4. Space Station Silicon Valley
This immensely underrated cult favourite of the N64 deserves the works: remaster, remake, sequels, etcetera. For the time being, though, we’ll settle for being able to play again on a slightly more user friendly controller.
Space Station Silicon Valley tells the tale of Dan and Evo, a hapless explorer and his robot pal who crashland on a strange planet. Evo’s shell is bust to bits, and his roaming microchip must find its way in and out of various robot animals, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, allegiances, and rivalries.
The creativity on display here is remarkable. There are dozens of animals to inhabit, from simple dogs and penguins to rocket powered foxes, hyenas on wheels, and a selection of kangaroos.
The game combines puzzling, platforming, and combat across four separate ecosystems. It’s challenging, funny, and still looks great, in all its blocky, technicolour glory. Rudimentary tech be damned - you won’t play another game like this one.
