10 Dumb Video Game Heroes With The WORST Motivations

3. Participating In A Tournament To Promote His Failing Martial Arts Dojo - Super Street Fighter IV

Shadow Of The Colossus
Capcom

There's merit to taking pride in your work. After tens or hundreds of hours, you've created something, you want to show it off to the world.

Unfortunately for Dan Hibiki in Super Street Fighter IV, his brand of martial arts is mostly about showboating and is about as useful as flailing your fists in the air. So quite rightly, his dojo is failing. Instead of looking deeply to see what can be improved, he decides that marketing his dojo is the lead cause of all of his problems!

What's worse is that if Dan does win the tournament, he has no clue how to make an advert! He makes an advert that tells people to go to his dojo to apply. This is smart as he doesn't have a phone line, but not only does the broadcast go out while people are asleep, it takes a teenager to tell him what he missed: the address of the dojo! He somehow squandered an opportunity he didn't deserve in the first place!
